The beauty of this mix is how flexible it is. Can’t have nightshades, cut out the cayenne and paprika or anything else you prefer to nix. Want more of an Italian sausage flavor? Up the garlic, fennel, and hot pepper/cayenne. Less salt, cut the salt. I think you get the idea. The other wonderful thing is that you can add the lovely sausage flavor, but not the pork. You can go for 50/50 pork and turkey, or just turkey. Or even add it to tofu or stuffing for the flavor but not the meat. I know there are vegetarians out there. This is great for them. And the best thing, NO preservatives and NO chemicals!

Enjoy the traditional way with ground pork. We love it for sausage patties and crumbles for biscuits and gravy or other options. Mix it into the meat and let sit overnight in the refrigerator for even more flavor. Or try adding it to your tomato sauce to give the sausage flavor without extra meat or fat.

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and store in an airtight jar.

    Add approximately 2 tsp of seasoning mix per pound of meat. Remember to shake the jar before each use!
