A fusion of Mexican with American cuisines – the taste of a cheeseburger in burrito form – how could you not love it?
This recipe is based on one from McCormick.
Brown the ground beef
Cook the ground beef in a heated saucepan on medium heat, separating so that it is fine as you see in the photo. Drain most of the grease from the meat.
Cook until soft, around 3 minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients
Add the pickles, ketchup, white vinegar (see note at the end), mustard, hor sauce and 1-2 TB of water. Cook on low heat for 2 minutes.
Add the tomatoes and cook for another minute. Taste and season with salt and pepper.Debido a que la salsa de tomate, mostaza y pepinillos contienen mucha sal, probar y ajustar la sazón luego de añadirlos.
Take off the heat and add the cheese. Mix until melted.
Make your burrito!
Be creative, make your burrito the way you like. You can add lettuce, more onion and tomato, chopped bacon, more pickles, etc. Enjoy with french fries!
There are many types of pickles on the market. If you only have access to sweet or bread and butter pickles, we recommend that you add 1 tsp of white vinegar to the water.
Another option is to use dill pickles (which are not sweet) or a dill pickle relish.
This recipe serves 4 medium or 2 very large burritos.
