Prep
Add the water, milk, sugar, and yeast to a large bowl. Leave the yeast to activate.
It will be about 10 minutes; you will see bubbles form that indicate that the yeast is still alive.Mix
Add the oil, salt, and one cup of flour. Mix then add the rest of the flour.
Knead
Knead for 6-8 minutes, until the dough comes together, and it is soft and not very sticky.
Keep kneading
At the beginning, it may appear that you need more flour. Keep kneading and it will become less sticky.
Rest
Grease a large bowl with a little oil, and rest the dough and cover with plastic wrap.
Rise
The dough will double in size, about 1.5 hours.
Form
Divide in 8 parts. Make balls. Leave to rest for 15 minutes.
Form flatbread
Use a rolling pin to form the flatbread, about 3-4mm thick.
Cook
Cook one by one in a hot pan. Brown on both sides. It will take 2-3 minutes on each side.
