Make the puff pastry
Gather ingredients and chop
For the filling, get your ingredients together and chop what you need.
If you like, switch out the meat for chicken.Sauté
For the filling, sauté in a pan all the ingredients except for the egg and set it aside.
Preheat the oven to 450°F.
Cut puff pastry
Cut the puff pastry in 10cm squares. On two edges apply a little egg wash.
Place the filling in the center
Repeat with all your turnovers
Fold
Fold your turnovers and use your fingers to seal. We don't want anything leaking out. The egg wash is like a glue that holds it together.
Egg wash on top
With a brush, apply egg wash on top of the turnovers.
Bake
In the preheated oven, bake them at 450°F for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 350°F and bake for 30-45 minutes.
