Peanut butter frosting

Goes wonderfully with a chocolate cake or cupcakes. It also adds a special touch to brownies.

Please note that serving size is for cupcakes, so 30 cupcakes equal an 8-inch 2-layer cake.

  1. Cream the peanut butter with the butter

  2. Step 2

    Add the salt and vanilla. Beat until incorporated. Add the powdered sugar gradually, beating thoroughly. Add the cream gradually until you get the desired texture. Beat well, around 2.5 minutes.


  • Add more cream and/or powdered sugar until you get the desired texture.
  • Since the base of this frosting is butter, if not used right away please store in a cool place (quite the challenge on the coast!). If not consumed in 2 or 3 days, refrigerate (up to a week) or freeze it (up to 3 months). Before using, wait until it comes to room temperature and beat again.
