Put all of your ingredients in a sterilized jar with a top and let sit in a dark, cool place for 1-2 days. Strain twice.
I had good success straining the first time with a normal fine mesh strainer and the second time with a clean t-shirt converted to a rag/cheese cloth that is dedicated to kitchen use or a nut bag. FYI-this will stain a bit.
Sugar syrup- Bring to a boil the water and sugar. Let cool.
Add to taste to your liquor.
More syrup=sweeter and less strong. You can always make more syrup if you prefer it even sweeter.
Bottle the liquor in sterilized glass jars and store in the fridge for up to 2 months approximately.
