Zucchini backpacks
Description
The amount of each item of the filling will depend on the taste and quantity of backpacks you will make.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Gather ingredients
Good judgement is needed for the quantities based on your preferred taste and the amount you will make.
-
Filling
Fry everything in a frying pan and add:
- Grated cheese
- Mayonnaise
- Cream cheese or curd
Stir in a deep bowl with a spoon.
-
Prepare zucchini
With your zucchini in strips, place them in a crisscross pattern. Place a spoonful of stuffing in the middle.
-
Fold the ends of the zucchini to cover the filling.
-
Place in a greased pan with olive oil.
Repeat the process until the desired amount.
Tip: If you have difficulty leaving the backpack well positioned in the pan without it opening, use a toothpick so that they do not open while cooking. -
Bake
Put tomato sauce on top, as well as cheese and oregano to taste. Bake for about 30 min in a preheated oven. Serve hot as starter or main course.
Remember that baking time is only for cooking the zucchini and heating the filling.
